Hello Patriots!!

My name is Allison Schwartz  and I am your 2024-2025 Student Government Association President! It is an honor to be able to serve UT Tyler and the wonderful students who attend. I am excited to work collectively with student, faculty, and staff in order to aid the university in its growth. I’m passionate about being Student Government Association President because I truly believe in the power of student voices and the positive change we can create together. I’m driven by a desire to foster a strong, inclusive community where every student feels heard and valued. As president, I aim to bridge gaps, address concerns, and implement initiatives that enhance our school experience.

I’m excited to lead with integrity, advocate for our needs, and inspire collaboration, all while working to ensure that our school environment is not just effective but also vibrant and supportive for everyone.

My office is located in UC 2161 which is located in the Student Government Association Office (UC 2160). Please do not hesitate to stop by! During my office hours, my door will be open and I am more than happy to address any questions, comments, or concerns you may have.

Best wishes,

President Allison Schwartz

In my letter, I ask the Board to take three actions: 1) Hold administrators accountable for disclosing conflicts of interests when discussing student interests 2) Tie the student newspaper’s fee appropriation to coverage of essential student issues, and 3) Start measuring intercollegiate athletics program’s impact on new student applications and enrollment.
